Solar System Coding Mission: AI, CLIL and robotics for learning the solar system as a classroom mission.

Summary

Solar System Coding Mission is a bilingual learning situation developed in 6th grade of Primary within the habLE project of the CP San Felix de Candás, recognized with a special mention to the bilingual project in the II IA Awards with Educational Impact. The proposal combines science, English, computational thinking, educational robotics, gamification and artificial intelligence to transform the study of the solar system into a cooperative mission.
The students investigate the planets, create visual and communicative materials in English, build a physical model of the solar system in the classroom and program routes with Sphero Mini to overcome challenges related to orbits, distances, turns and movement sequences. AI is integrated as a teaching support to design scaffolds, adapt texts, generate multilevel resources, prepare visual vocabulary and facilitate a more accessible experience from the SAD approach.
The communication will show the process of design, implementation and evaluation of the experience, with classroom evidence, materials used and pedagogical decisions. The objective is not to present a specific tool, but to show how technology can be put at the service of an inclusive and motivating competence proposal.
