From augmented reality to the inclusive classroom: peer-to-peer learning
level: PRI-ESO-EE
Summary
This paper presents an innovative collaborative learning experience based on the use of augmented reality (AR) as a tool for educational inclusion. The project starts with Secondary Education students, who develop 3D materials using the Merge Cube for learning vocabulary related to SDG 14 (conservation of underwater life), and transfer their designs to Primary Education and Special Education students.
It is worth mentioning peer learning and collaboration between centers, as well as the adaptation of technological resources to contexts with specific educational needs. Through the use of the Merge Cube and the creation of accessible content (pictograms, sounds and 3D objects), a multisensory environment is built that favors the linguistic and cognitive development of NESE students.
The project is based on the real demands of educational centers and incorporates experimentation processes, as well as a pilot phase in Primary Education prior to its implementation in Special Education. The results show how augmented reality can become an accessible, accessible and transformative tool when integrated from an inclusive and collaborative perspective.
